The board is primarily intended to perform a variety of different tasks over communication networks such as ISBus and Ethernet, and when installed will occupy two and a half slots in the EX2100 exciter board frame or innovative series drives.

The IS215ACLEH1BC model features a variety of software features, including but not limited to I/O points and internal Boolean forcing, application control for the innovative series of drives, non-volatile flash memory, online application configuration loading, control blocks, and more.
